Rehabilitation Through Adventure

65 Degrees North seeks to help in the rehabilitation of wounded, injured or sick (WIS) service personnel and veterans by offering the opportunity to participate in challenging adventure.

By changing the perception of physical and mental disability through the ‘Spirit of Adventure’ we aim to inspire and motivate others to overcome, achieve and succeed.

Australian Expedition 2023

On the 22nd of October, 65 Degrees North embarked on its 11th expedition, a two-week journey, this time in Australia. The carefully selected team of 16 wounded, injured and sick military veterans have taken on the challenges of Australia’s toughest terrains, comprising a terrifying freefall and two gruelling cycle rides.

Hardangervidda Plateau - March 2023

In March 2023 65 Degrees North embarked on another expedition - an 10-strong group headed to the Norwegian mountains and attempted to ski across the iconic Hardangervidda plateau from Finse to Rjukan - a 140km mission over six days.

65 Degrees North has appointed George Matthews as Chief Executive Officer for the charity. George served for 35 years as a Royal Marine and has a wealth of experience of command and the challenges faced by service personnel both on after operational tours of duty.
