The team are standing on 'Top of the Bottom of the World'!

Rich, Danny, Flo, Tom and Kirk reached the summit of Antarctica's highest mountain at 16:30 local time (GMT-3) on Sunday January 15th 2017.

At 4897m (16,067ft), Mount Vinson is the highest peak in one of the coldest, most remote and hostile places on our planet... and the 65 Degrees North team are standing on top of it celebrating their huge achievement!

They are all tired but feeling extremely proud and will shortly descend back to high camp where they will spend their 7th night on this spectacular frozen and windswept continent!

The team would like to thank Martin Doyle from Adventure Peaks for expertly guiding them up this incredible mountain!

Special thanks to our sponsors and supporters for making it possible, especially Inmarsat for providing the essential safety and communications kit which has enabled the team to share their journey...

and lastly a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to our JustGiving Page and left messages of support for the team!
