The Second Day at Sea...

Published Sunday, 29th April 2018

A cold northerly wind greeted the team as they prepared to set sail for the second day of their adventure! They worked together to raise the sails and quickly felt the power of the wind drive them into a more boisterous sea than they had experienced the previous day.

White topped waves occasionally washed the decks and some of the team struggled with the motion of the boat, mainly because their disability prevented them from seeing the horizon. The team enjoyed 8 hours of sailing before arriving in Plymouth where they will spend the night. They are all learning new skills and helping each other to achieve their aim, proving there is life beyond injury and that anything is possible!

65 Degrees North patron and team member Jonathan Thomson said: "Fresh adventure, weather dependant, awaits us tomorrow, but we know not where."
