The Raid 17 Team: Day 3

The 3rd day of the epic 450 mile cost-to-coast endeavour took the team over some incredibly steep and challenging Cols.

The views were breathtaking as they climbed a total of 2600m and covered a distance of 102km.

The 18km climb to the top of the Aubisque, which stands at 1,709m was a little taster of what the next day will bring.

The team stopped for a quick lunch and a hot drink in a very cold and windswept carpark before a 20km downhill run that seemed to go on forever and involved dodging cows, sheep and other unexpected obstacles.

It was a huge day for all and everyone was in very high spirits when they reached the final destination of the day, almost 10 hours after they had set off!
