Team MB'18... The Adventure Begins!

Published Friday, 19th October 2018

Team MB'18 arrived in Australia as planned, collected their bikes and were at the start line by 5pm local time (GMT+8).

They cycled 7km of the trail before arriving at the first destination of their challenge, where they headed to the local Township of Mundaring to shop for provisions and eat.

65DN Patron and MB'18 Team Leader, Jonathan Thomson said:

"There's been lots of rain in Perth recently, but today was fine, clear and warm. Because all the bits of the plan came together we were able to put in a very good first 7km ride through the forest to our resting place, and we learned a thing or two along the way about how to follow the very distinctive, but sometimes elusive, Munda Biddi trail signs... We've had a very good day.

Tomorrow the serious work begins over what is regarded as the hardest part of the route; lots of hills, sand and pea-gravel, and a fair distance, so it will be hard and testing work."
