Team EVEREST 2019: Lukla to Phakding
Published Sunday, 7th April 2019The team departed Kathmandu at around 2am for the long drive to Manthali Airport.
The bus bounced along bumpy roads that winded through the mountains for hours and any hopes of catching up on some sleep soon faded!
After a short wait at the tiny airport an excited team boarded their flight to Lukla where they were met by blue skies and sunshine.
They immediately set off for their first trek towards Everest Base Camp!
The team enjoyed some spectacular sights and scenery and stopped for lunch in a tea house along the way.
A few hours later they arrived in Phakding at an altitude of 2600m where they all settled in for an early night and some much needed sleep!
