Team EVEREST 2019: Camp 2

Published Monday, 20th May 2019

An excited team set off at 2am as planned and 9 hours later they arrived at Camp 2 ...

Brendan said: ‘Apart from feeling absolutely shattered we are all good! We are going to spend the afternoon resting’

The team bumped into a few familiar faces on the way up who they stopped to chat to, and to congratulate them on their successful summit of the World’s highest mountain.

Among them were Namgya Sherpa, our Sirdar who has now summited Mt Everest 13 times, and Kenton Cool who has just successfully summited Mt Everest for his 14th time!

Both took the early weather-window opportunity, following the rope-fixing team to the summit, which was a risky strategy but one that thankfully paid off for them!

The team will now be watching the weather forecasts closely and waiting for the strong winds to drop, which will allow them to push on to Camp 3.
