Cycling The Via Francigena

In July 2022 a small team of wounded, injured and sick (WIS) set out to cycle 2000km (1243 miles)!

The Via Francigena (‘the way of the Franks’) is an ancient road and pilgrimage route running from Canterbury Cathedral to the Vatican City in Rome.

This epic adventure pushed the cyclists to their absolute limits as they aimed to complete the route in just 12 days!

As National Bike Week was fast approaching our hope was that this challenge would inspire others to get on their bikes and take on a challenge of their own!

For anyone planning their own event, please consider fundraising for us and helping change the lives of our WIS community for the better.

**This project is part-funded by The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT) through a Positive Pathways Grant
