#FollowTheFlag.. Day 2 on Mt Aconcagua

Published Wednesday, 10th January 2018

Brendan became the proud recipient of the flag today as the team prepared for their second day on the mountain.

Once again they trekked for several hours in fierce temperatures and were relieved to reach the second camp (Casa Piedra 3250m).

Jason admitted that he struggled yesterday as the intense heat was almost unbearable. He had to really battle with the doubts in his head telling him he couldn't do it, but he got through it with the support of the team and he was in a much better place today.

This challenge is not going to be easy for any of them .. they will all have days when they will struggle.

Having the flag with them will undoubtedly keep them all motivated and give them something to focus on when it gets tough.

Tomorrow temperatures are expected to reach around 37°c so the team are planning on an early start for their trek to base camp.

Don't forget to watch out for the live Facebook feeds between 7pm - 8.30pm each night!
