In June 2020 65 Degrees North will kayak around the ISLES of SCILLY
This little cluster of islands, an archipelago off the Cornish coast, are often thought of as Britain’s tropical paradise and can feel like another world. Made up of five inhabited islands and 140 outliers, these rocky and rugged outer isles take the brunt of the Atlantic, creating a challenging arena for ‘Rehabilitation through Adventure‘.
Circumnavigating the five inhabited Islands over five days, this will be a test that will challenge the mindset and physical strengths of the team, developing their skills and confidence.
It will take courage, fortitude and endurance to battle the tides, weather and uncompromising fatigue as they paddle around the Islands of St. Mary’s, Tresco, St. Martin’s, Bryher and St. Agnes.
Paddling for up to ten hours a day, the team will set up camp each night and undertake a beach clean along the way, bringing them closer to nature and wildlife. This expedition will challenge and test their limits, proving once again that:
