‘The Ice Cap Threw It’s Final Challenge At The Team!’

Even in the last hours of the World First Record attempt the Ice Cap continued to throw everything it could at Peter and the Ice Team

With less than a couple of kilometres to go and the end in sight the team faced their final challenge.

Without any warning Kirk suddenly disappeared down a crevasse and the pulk went crashing over his head.

The team immediately pulled together to rescue him and Richard lowered himself head-first into the crevasse to free Kirk’s feet from the skis.

A decision was made by their guide Sjur Mørde, who is a highly regarded and experienced Norwegian polar explorer, to rope the team together for the final push of their epic journey..
