Team Denali: Reasons for Climbing this Mountain – Brendan

Brendan explains his reasons for taking on this mammoth challenge and shares some of the thoughts that are running through his head as he climbs the highest peak in North America:

“… We hope to summit as a team, but there are other reasons why we are climbing this mountain..” Team Denali are undertaking this extreme challenge to raise awareness of mental health and well-being and promote active discussion in order to tackle the stigma surrounding this invisible illness.

Through sharing his own story, Brendan hopes he will encourage others struggling in silence to open up, seek help and advice, and even inspire some to take on a challenge of their own, no matter how big or small!

The team are also raising funds for The Royal Marines Charity who provide the best possible through life charitable support for Royal Marines, their families, veterans and cadets, ensuring nobody gets left behind.
