“The team have all landed safely back in Talkeetna.
We made our way back from High Camp to camp at 14,000 feet where we spent the night. We then had to wait for the temperatures to drop for the snow bridges to freeze before making our way down to Base Camp via Heartbreak Hill, which was horrendous and totally lives up to its name!
It is the last big hill before Base Camp and just went on and on and on….
We spent the night bivvying out on the glacier waiting for our flight off the mountain this morning. Everyone is feeling really good and looking forward to a hot shower and a celebration meal!”
