Team Denali - Day 2

Team Denali – Day 2

The team arrived in Anchorage more than 24 hours after setting off from home. They settled in to their hotel for the night but some of the team had difficulty sleeping due to the time difference and jet lag, which causes fatigue, insomnia, and other symptoms as a result of air travel across time zones. Alaska is 9 hours behind UK time, which made a very long day even longer! The team were up early for a hearty breakfast before a meeting with their in-country guides for an Expedition Orientation. The rest of the morning was spent checking their equipment and kit, and selecting their food for the mountain.

Tomorrow the team will be chatting to Rachel Cochrane on BFBS Radio via the #iSatPhone2 provided by Inmarsat Tune in from 10.30am to hear how they are getting on! > http://www.bfbs.com/radio/radioplayer/UK/
