World’s first unsupported crossing of the Greenland ice cap by an amputee

Team Kili

Changing the perception of physical and mental disability through the ‘Spirit of Adventure’ 65DN aim to inspire and motivate others to overcome, achieve and succeed

In February 2016, 5 injured Royal Marines and 5 female Police Officers from South Wales Police joined 65 Degrees North for ‘Conquering Kili’

‘Team Kili’ successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the World’s highest freestanding mountain, to raise funds for The Royal Marines Charity. At 5,985m (19,336ft) high it is also the highest mountain on the African continent.

It was an emotional journey which forged life-long friendships and many lessons were learnt through shared experiences and conversations; an unfaltering team spirit ensured each and every member of the team reached the summit!
